I disappear for weeks with no post and now two in one day. I've looked outside but there are no toads raining from the sky. I'm doing pretty good this week, probably in response to the newest med added to my pharmacopia. That said, I have two things on my mind this sunny hot Friday afternoon:
- Why does my phone insist on beeping to tell me the battery is low even when I've set it to silent? Why use what little remaining power there is to remind me of something I can't change right now and annoy my cellmates? I double checked my settings, Silent. All alarms, bells, whistles set to Off, 0, or silent. WTF!
- Why do my shoes, which may or may not break the newly modified summer dress code, make that loud flip-flop noise as I walk down the hall? Today I finally wore capris to work. They recently changed the dress code to allow women to wear "nice" capris and fore go hose in the summer months. But no sandals or flip-flops. My shoes are slides, mules if you will. Nice black suede. Very little toes shows, my tattoo doesn't even show. But I'm sticking to my desk except for trips to the bathroom because there is a high-placed EA who has appointed herself Dress Code Sheriff. I've seen blatant rule breaking, but I try to avoid it if I can. It's the tell-tale flip-flop-flippity-flop that gives me away. Drat that uptight fashionista.
